Strengthening Our Foundation
Sustained impact through earned revenue: Training, consulting, and direct service fees continue to be the backbone of THP’s work, providing the majority of our revenue and ensuring consistent access to trauma-informed education and healing services for our community.
Deepened community partnership model: Since 2022, shared space and cost-sharing with mission-aligned partners has grown into a thriving collaborative ecosystem. Our building now serves as a hub for healing, learning, and advocacy with partners including Edelic Center for Ethnobotanical Services, Vibrant Way, Subtle Winds, United for Immigrant Justice, Barral Institute, Singing Heart, Conflict Artistry, the NAACP, Cross Cultural Now, and others – multiplying impact while supporting community action and making services more accessible.
Strong individual donor support: Individual contributions remain a vital and stable source of support, representing approximately 17% of total revenue this year and reflecting sustained trust from community members who believe in the work and choose to invest in healing.
Adaptability in a shifting funding landscape: While grant funding has been increasingly unpredictable across the nonprofit sector, THP has remained operational and responsive by strengthening earned revenue and community partnerships—demonstrating organizational resilience in a challenging funding environment.
Commitment to growth and funding diversification: THP continues to pursue grant opportunities as part of a long-term strategy, while at the same time building more reliable, community-rooted funding streams that prioritize sustainability and service continuity.
More healing: Through strategic partnerships, cost-sharing, and careful stewardship of resources, THP maximizes every dollar to expand access, retain an experienced workforce, and maintain a safe, welcoming space for individuals, families, and professionals seeking and providing healing-centered care.
In Summary
THP has prioritized building organizational resiliency, flexibility, and community impact in a changing and uncertain funding landscape. By strengthening earned revenue, sustaining individual donor support, and cultivating a collaborative network of partners, we have remained responsive to community needs while continuing to deliver high-quality training and healing services. These strategies have allowed us not only to weather financial shifts, but to protect access to care, hold space for collaboration, and sustain a trusted hub for healing and learning.
What’s Next
Looking ahead, THP will continue to strengthen and diversify revenue to increase stability and expand impact. We will build on our earned-revenue programs, grow our community of individual supporters – including major donors, and pursue mission-aligned funding opportunities with greater focus and selectivity. By expanding partnerships and cultivating new revenue streams, THP is positioning itself to increase both financial strength and community benefit – ensuring a solid foundation for the work ahead.
Meeting Our Mission in Support of Trauma Healing
Cultivated a strong healing workforce: Fourteen local providers completed our 50-hour Multi-Disciplinary Trauma-Informed Practice Cohort, strengthening the region’s capacity to deliver trauma-sensitive, healing-centered care.
Expanded training leadership and innovation: We partnered with six new expert trainers to deliver the cohort and launched a new Trauma-Informed Design Training—bringing trauma-informed principles into spaces, systems, and environments where people live, work, and heal.
Met rising demand with care and responsiveness: THP actively responded to growing community need by expanding both training opportunities and access to healing arts services.
Reached thousands of professionals: Over 2,300 professionals across more than 60 organizations in Oregon and Washington received training and support—advancing trauma-informed practice across healthcare, education, social services, and community organizations.
Expanded access to healing: Eleven practitioners delivered nearly 1,000 healing sessions and classes to more than 220 of the community’s most vulnerable members, increasing access to supportive, culturally responsive care.
Built a vibrant community hub: Our building hosted over 100 community gatherings, trainings, and meetings—creating space for connection, collaboration, and collective healing.
Strengthened partnerships for long-term impact: We deepened partnerships with health and wellness organizations to align resources, expand referral pathways, and strengthen sustainability.
In Summary
This year, THP significantly expanded both the depth and reach of its impact by strengthening the community’s capacity for trauma-informed care, healing, and collaboration. Through intensive workforce development, training thousands of professionals, and supporting a growing network of healers and partners, THP helped individuals and organizations show up with greater clarity, dignity, and care.
