Facebook Fundraiser Tips & Instructions

Creating a Facebook fundraiser for the Trauma Healing Project is easy!

Head to your Facebook page and select Fundraisers from the sidebar (computer) or menu (mobile).  From there, click on Raise Money and Facebook will walk you through it.  You can also go to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/healingattention) and click on Create a Fundraiser.

If you have questions, give us a call!  We’re happy to help.

Here are some tips:

Pick an amount that you can reasonably raise.  It’s encouraging for your friends to help you meet (or exceed!) your goal.  $200-$500 is a good place to start.

Pick a limited amount of time – 2 weeks is great – you will be more likely to tend to your fundraiser if it is for a short amount of time.

Tell your story – this is the fun part!  Tell a little about how you became connected with the Trauma Healing Project.  This helps your friends learn more about us and why we deserve their donation.  It adds interest to your fundraiser.  (For ideas to get started, see below)

If you’d rather not tell your story, feel free to use the cut and paste option below.

Remember to invite friends and share multiple times during your fundraiser.  It can help to share in the evening or on the weekend.

Thank you for your support!  With your help, we will continue to support trauma healing in our community.

Ideas for the Your Story section:

The Trauma Healing Project envisions a vibrant and connected community where anyone impacted by violence, abuse or other trauma receives the support and attention they need to fully recover and to reach their highest potential.

The Trauma Healing Project does great work in our local community and beyond.  And if you donate on Giving Tuesday, Facebook and the Gates Foundation will match your contribution!  The matching starts at 8am EST, so donate early as funds are limited. Thank  you!

The Trauma Healing Project helps many people in our community access healing services and education about trauma and resiliency.  Please consider donating to support this organization that I care about.
