Workshop Description (Flier download here):
This 4-hour interactive workshop is designed for architects, interior designers, planners, and developers who are committed to creating environments and living arrangements that support healing, accessibility, and well-being. Participants will explore foundational concepts of trauma and how the understanding and approaches have evolved over time. Through case studies and real-world examples, we will examine how trauma-informed design and community development principles can be effectively integrated into civic and institutional buildings, educational spaces, social service environments, affordable and supportive housing, shelters, and medical and behavioral health settings.
